Comforta Oy – Purchase of Etelä-Karjalan Pesula Oy

Applex Attorneys advised Comforta Oy, a company belonging to the Lindström Group, in its acquisition of Etelä-Karjalan Pesula Oy from the municipality of Taipalsaari, cities of Lappeenranta and Imatra and South Karelia Social and Health Care District (Eksote). The transaction entered into force on 1 May 2021.

Comforta Oy provides textile services in hotel, restaurant and health care industries. In 2020 Lindström Group’s turnover was EUR 388 million and it employs 4,600 people.

Etelä-Karjalan Pesula Oy offers textile cleaning and maintenance services for companies in South Karelia region. By the transaction, Comforta Oy will strengthen its service offering in the South Karelia region and its aim is to develop its service center in Lappeenranta even further in the form of new investments.
